I seldom watch TV because I have a computer, and I spend most of my free time in front of the computer going through the websites and chatting with my friends. Anyhow, I have a favourite TV programme and it is called “Happy Dictionary”. It is a quiz show. The programme is an hour long. It is broadcasted at 9.00 pm. In this programme a wide range of prizes will be given to the winners in the end. The host of this programme is my favourite. Her name is Wang Xiaoya. She is an excellent host.

At the beginning of the programme, five candidates (选手) will be introduced and then they will be asked a question. The person who answers the question correctly and most quickly will be given an opportunity to take the quiz. The quiz is divided into three or four levels. In each level you will get a prize. The prize depends on the performance of the players, such as a laptop, digital video camera, a free package tour.

There are three questions in each level, and the way the host asks these questions makes them more difficult. For example, after the player has given an answer, Miss Wang will ask him / her whether he / she is sure or not. Then the person starts getting confused and may change his / her right answer to a wrong one. It’s very interesting. During this section, the players can get help from others. There are three ways for them to choose and each way can be used only once. These three ways are calling a friend by phone, asking the audience for help and letting the computer delete (删除) one of the wrong answers.

I like it very much because there is no violence (暴力) and it can get me to learn more knowledge.
