My First Ski Lesson
This is my first ski lesson. I am practicing on the beginner’s slope. I begin to pick up speed. And suddenly I realize I don’t know how to stop. At the same time, I find a young couple standing in my path. “Look out! Get out of my way!” I shout.
They do not heed my warning, and a moment later three of us are up to our ears in snow. After standing up, I apologize, “Excuse me, I don’t know how to stop.”
“That’s okay,” says the young man, “We don’t know how to move.”
我的第一堂滑雪课
这是我的第一堂滑雪课。我正在初学者坡道上练习。我开始逐渐加速。但是我突然意识到我不知道该怎么停下来。就在这时，我看到一对年轻夫妇一动不动地站在我的滑道上。“当心啊！让一下！”我喊道。
他们根本没留意我的警告。顷刻之间，我们3个人都被埋在了雪里。站起来以后，我连忙道歉：“对不起，我不知道怎样才能停下来。”
“没关系，”那名男子说，“我们不知道怎样才能移动。”
