中考语法专项复习——形容词、副词

 

形容词和副词是中考的必考点，下面我们就从中考常考点入手，进一步学习和掌握这两类词。

【考点1】 形容词、副词的不同用法

【考例】 Don’t just believe the advertisement. That kind of camera is          it says. (2007年河北)

A. as good as         B. not as good as

C. as well as        D. not as well as

【简析】 根据第一句的提示，可以排除A、C两项。由于第二句中的谓语动词是is, 其后应用形容词，所以排除D项，答案为B。

【点拨】 形容词常修饰名词作定语或位于系动词后作表语； 副词往往修饰动词、副词或形容词。

【考点2】 复合形容词的用法

【考例】 Each of us has to write a          report every three weeks. （2006年湖北荆门）

A. two-thousand-words

B. two-thousand-word 

C. two-thousands-word

D. two-thousands-words  

【简析】 “基数词 + 连字符号 + 单数名词”构成一个复合形容词，其中的名词只能是可数名词单数形式，故答案为B。

【点拨】 ◆准确记忆复合形容词的用法。

◆特别注意 an 8-year-old boy这类短语中的不定冠词的正确选用, 切不可误用a。

【考点3】 副词enough在句子中的位置

【考例】 —What do you think of the lecture of Li Yang’s Crazy English?

—I think it’s                  , but someone thinks it’s much too         .  (2007年安徽芜湖)

A. wonderful enough; bored

B. enough wonderful; boring

C. wonderful enough; boring

D. enough wonderful; bored

【简析】 enough用作副词时，一般要放在所修饰的形容词或副词的后面，据此，可以排除B、D两项，再结合句意可以知道C项正确。

【考点4】 形容词和副词比较等级的正确选用

【考例】 —Who writes          in your class?

—Ricky.  (2007年安徽宿迁)

A. more careful     B. the most careful

C. more carefully   D. the most carefully

【简析】 该题同时考查形容词、副词的选用及比较等级的正确选用。由所选词要修饰动词write可以判断应用副词，所以可排除A、B两项。再根据关键信息 in your class, 可以判断空格处的副词应使用最高级，答案为D。

 【考点5】 在固定句型中考查形容词或副词的比较等级

【考例】 —Hi, Andrew. How can you improve your English so much?  (2007年湖北黄冈)

—Oh, nothing difficult. The          you work at it, the          progress you will make.

A. harder; more      B. more hardly; more

C. hardlier; greater  D. harder; great

【简析】 hard在此是副词，意为“认真地”，所以排除B、C两项。再结合句意“你学习英语越努力，你的进步就越大。” 可以得到正确答案A项。

【点拨】 常用的与形容词或副词相关的固定句型有：

◆“比较级 + and + 比较级”或“more and more + 原形”表示“越来越……”。

◆ “one of the + 形容词最高级 + 可数名词复数” 表示“最……的……之一”。

◆“the + 比较级……， the + 比较级……”表示“越…… 就越……”。

【考点6】 定冠词the在比较级中的应用

【考例】 Of the two skirts, Lucy chose          one.  (2005年山东烟台)

A. less expensive      B. the least expensive

C. the less expensive  D. the most expensive

【简析】 比较级前一般不用the, 但表示“两者中较……的一个”时，要用“the + 比较级”结构，所以本题应选C。

【考点7】 形容词或副词在语境中的具体应用

【考例】 —Mr Smith, would you please speak a little more         ?

—Sorry!I thought you could follow me.  (2007年安徽)

A. quietly                  B. quickly 

C. slowly                 D. politely

【简析】 如果单纯从语法角度来看，该题的A、B、D三个选项都可以，但受下文I  thought you could follow me.的限制，只有C项正确。

【点拨】 这类试题在各地中考试卷中出现的频率越来越高。解这类题时可以运用代入法，看哪个形容词最符合句意即可。
