高二3月4期1版
Don’t Be Sorrowful Everybody has blue days. These are miserable days when you feel sick, angry, lonely, and utterly exhausted. They are the days when you feel small and insignificant, when everything seems just out of reach. You can’t rise to the occasion. Just getting started seems impossible. On blue days you can become a monomania that everyone is out to get you. You feel brokenhearted and anxious, which can have a nail-biting madness. And you can eat a triple-chocolate-cake in a blink of an eye! On blue days you feel like you’re floating in an ocean of sadness. You’re about to burst into tears at any moment and you don’t even know why. At last, you feel like you’re wandering through life without purpose. You’re not sure how much longer you can hang on, and you feel like shouting, “Will someone please shout at me!” You might get cast away, fired, or make a fool of yourself in public, be worried about an unkind nickname. Maybe study is a pain on pins and needles. You’re under powerful pressure to fill someone else’s shoes, your parents are picking on you, and everyone in the classroom is driving you crazy. You might have a splitting headache, or a slipped disk. Whatever the reason, you’re sure that someone doesn’t like you. Oh what to do, what to do? Well, if you’re like most people, you’ll hide behind a flimsy belief that everything will solve itself. Then you’ll spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder, waiting for everything to go wrong all over again. At last you become crusty and cynical or a pathetic, sniveling victim. Until you get so depressed that you lie down and beg the earth to swallow you or, even worse, become addicted. This is not always such a bad thing. You might just wake up not feeling or looking your best. You just find some new wrinkles, put on a little weight, or get a huge pimple on your nose. This is very foolish, because you’re only young once and you’re never old twice. Talk with your parents, teachers, students or other friends. Analyze the reasons of failures. Think of other better ways. And then start to do. You’ll be very OK. Believe yourself and go on thinking and acting ... Help: monomania n. 偏执狂 flimsy adj. 浅薄的 addicted adj. 沉溺的 第 页 责任编辑:yingyubao
