[编前语] 在上期名师讲坛栏目里，林老师为大家讲解了为什么要强调快速阅读、快速阅读的内涵，以及快速阅读的注意事项。在本期，我们继续邀请林生香老师为大家讲解快速阅读的练习步骤及模拟练习，请大家继续关注。

 

                快速阅读手边放 有效备考不再慌 （中）

一、训练快速阅读能力的练习步骤：

1．尽量找个安静的地方进行阅读。

2．准备一只手表记下开始阅读的时间。

3．阅读时克服回视，注意视读。

4．阅读完毕时记下结束的时间。

5．开始做测试练习题，不要看原文。

6．自己核对答案，算出得分。

7．算出阅读时间（即结束时间减去开始时间），然后对照速读表，查出每分钟的阅读字数(WPM)并记录下自己的进度。

8．计算每分钟阅读字数(WPM)的办法：（1）用结束时间减去开始时间；（2）用文章字数除以实际阅读时间。公式为：X除以Ｙ再乘以６０=Z

（注：Ｙ代表文章总字数，Ｘ代表实际阅读时间（以秒为计算单位）６０是每分钟所含秒数。Ｚ即每分钟读字数。）

二、快速阅读的读前准备

阅读前准备工作是每个学生必须掌握的一项基本阅读技巧。我们无论在阅读一本书或一篇文章之前应对其内容有个基本的了解。这就是我们常说的Pre-Reading。只有通过Pre-Reading我们才能找到我们所想要的书籍或想要选读的文章。速读的文章，其文体是多样的。它涉及到：记叙文、说明文、议论文和应用文等等。书类方面就更多了。各种书籍都有，不胜枚举。预读前，首先应思考标题的含义、浏览文章的内容、看看其文体等等。如果是读书的话则应先看看书中的目录，了解其作者，看看其封面并进一步浏览其内容等等。

预读可以促进我们的思维，提高我们的阅读速度。

三、速读模拟练习

根据上文所教方法，快速阅读下列短文，从每题所给的四个选项（A、B、C和D）中，选出最佳选项。做后自己核对答案，计算并记录下阅读速度。（每小题20分）

                   Oh, that Garden!

Matt grows the nicest vegetables in the village. He grows fruit too – big, sweet apples and oranges. And what else? Well, the biggest and the prettiest flowers.

Things grow in Matt’s garden all through the years. He cuts some flowers for his sitting-room table; and, of course, he eats some fruit and vegetables. But he sells everything else in the market. Matt is not a poor man — oh, no, isn’t poor.

He knows a few other gardeners; but he does not have any friends. You might ask, “Why is that? Why doesn’t he have friends?”

I will tell you. People don’t understand him. And they don’t understand his garden. “Why not?”  you will ask. “It’s a very good garden, isn’t it?” It is a wonderful garden. Matt plants things in spring, summer, autumn and winter. After that he does very little work. He sits in the garden with his small radio. And everything grows.

People ask, “ How does Matt grow these wonderful things? He waters the plants sometimes, but he doesn’t do anything else. He just sits under an orange tree with his radio. He listens to music nearly all day!” And that is quite true. People cannot understand it, and so they don’t like it very much. Matt likes music. But what about the garden? Who does the work? I will tell you another true thing: the music does the work. All plants love music and Matt knows that.

Do you want big vegetables and the loveliest flowers? Well, just give your plants a lot of music.
