Happy Thanksgiving Day
In America, there are many festivals. Do you know Thanksgiving Day? It is called “感恩节” in Chinese. Thanksgiving Day is on the fourth Thursday in November every year. Thanksgiving Day of this year is on November 25. It’s coming. Do you want to know anything about this traditional holiday in America?
On Thanksgiving Day, some people will give full baskets of food to the poor. People will have a good time on that day. They eat delicious food. For dinner, there is always a turkey (火鸡). There are also pumpkin pies （南瓜饼）, mashed potatoes （土豆泥）, sweet potatoes （红薯）, fruit salad and cranberry sauce （越橘果酱）. All the food is yummy!
Thanksgiving Day is also a time for fun. After dinner, children often play games together. Pumpkin racing（南瓜赛跑） is a wonderful game. Children push a pumpkin with a big spoon and run with it, but they can’t touch the pumpkin with their hands.
Thanksgiving Day is so interesting and always brings people happiness.
