Little Elephant’s Long Trunk

The little elephant has a long trunk． He often shows off to his friends, “Look at my long trunk． It is very great!” 小象有个长长的鼻子。他常常向朋友们炫耀自己的鼻子：“瞧我的长鼻子，太棒了！”

One day, the little horse, the little cow and the little elephant are playing together. The little elephant is so proud of his trunk that he absorbs much water and sprinkles it. The water makes the horse’s and the cow’s clothes wet． 一天，小马、小牛和小象在一起玩耍。小象非常自豪，用鼻子吸了很多水喷洒出来，结果弄湿了小马和小牛的衣服。

The horse and the cow are very angry． They shout at the little elephant, “Go away．”  小马和小牛非常生气，他们对小象大声喊道：“滚开。”

When the animals are all in asleep，the little elephant swings his long trunk and wakes up the little  monkey． The little monkey is very angry and shouts at him, “Go away．” The little elephant has to go home.  动物们都在睡觉的时候，小象又晃动它的长鼻子，结果把小猴给弄醒了。小猴很生气，大声喊道:“滚开。”小象只好回家了。

The mother elephant says to the little elephant, “Help the others with your long trunk and they will like you．” 象妈妈告诉小象：“用你的长鼻子帮助别人, 他们就会喜欢你了。”

So the little elephant starts to help the grandmother sheep carry water， help the brother deer make a move...于是，小象开始帮助羊奶奶提水，帮助鹿弟弟搬家……

The animals praise him, “Your long trunk is so great!” The little elephant smiles． 动物们都夸奖小象：“你的长鼻子真了不起！”小象笑了。
