Easter Day

这个星期天（4月13日）就是复活节（Easter）啦！在欧美各国，复活节是仅次于圣诞节的重大节日。Boys and girls, do you want to know something about Easter Day? Now let me tell you!

What is Easter?　

Easter为什么叫做复活节呢？据《圣经》上记载，耶稣死后三天又复活了。He rose from the dead.为了纪念这个日子，人们就开始过复活节。但现在这个节日的宗教色彩越来越淡了。It has become a favorite festival for kids now.

When is Easter?　　　

复活节是个“流动”的节日。It’s on a different date in different years. 但复活节必定是个星期天。春分过后，第一个月圆日后的第一个星期天就是了。因此，节期大致在3月22日至4月25日之间。今年的复活节是4月13日。

Easter Eggs

彩蛋是复活节最典型的象征。They stand for new life. Kids get many colored eggs on this day.这些蛋煮得很老，而有的只是一层蛋壳。它们五颜六色，做得就像艺术品一样。Kids also get some chocolate eggs. They are so delicious!

Easter Bunny

听说有会下蛋的兔子吗？很神奇吧！兔子也是复活节的象征。传说春之神养了只神奇的小鸟。The bird became a bunny in the spring. This bunny was amazing. It could lay colored eggs during Easter. Then it hid them in secret places. 据说，只有好孩子才能找到这些彩蛋。

复活节这一天有很多彩蛋游戏可以玩。The Easter egg games are very funny. Let’s play together.

Egg Rolling

Kids play this game together. 比赛一般是在有草的小山坡上进行。They roll eggs down the hill. 谁的彩蛋最后破，谁就获得胜利。美国白宫每年都邀请儿童来玩这种游戏，电视台还要进行电视直播呢！

Egg Hunting

前边我们说过，小兔子会把它的彩蛋藏起来。Where are the eggs? Kids have an egg hunt on Easter morning. 谁找到的彩蛋最多谁就赢。The winner gets all the colored eggs.
